Today was an exciting day for SWAT! Instead of our recent training events and takeovers, we logged onto CPAB for a practice battle against the Rebel Penguin Federation! Both us and RPF put up a great fight and it was a lot of fun! Let’s see how it went.
MAX: 23
PRE-ROOM: SNOW FORTS
We were pretty awake during the pre-room, which is great news! It means that SWAT was more than ready to win this battle.
ROOM ONE: ICE BERG
Room one saw the Agents come in first, quickly forming into a V. The Rebels came in shortly after, making a plus formation. SWAT was fast when getting in a form which is great! The Rebel’s form was a bit patchy, but regardless they packed in a punch and showed their power with their tactics. Both armies then bombed, SWAT created a :chefskiss: X form while RPF made a circle, a risky decision given their size. Overall I believe SWAT’s spacing was perfect, both in the X as well as the upside-down T we made later on. It made a big difference since both armies had the same size of 23. SWAT would’ve certainly won this room in a real battle.
ROOM TWO: INSIDE MINE
Room two once again saw SWAT join the room first, RPF showing much later than expected. However, there were more Rebels in this room compared to SWAT, 17-15. Both armies made an upsidedown V, so we made sure to sit on the rebels, and show our text more than theirs. We then bombed, showing off how patchy their form really was. We made an upside-down T as they bombed into a V, which is very impressive for SWAT. It’s quite hard to get into the form so fast and cleanly while penguins are running over you. Great job! Our T was clearly more powerful than their V as shown in the pics, the Rebels noticed this and changed into an X. SWAT took this opportunity to surround them in a circle, which worked phenomenally. Since the Mine is a smaller room, our size was not a problem. In my opinion, both armies did a great job and showed their power, therefore declaring this room a tie.
ROOM THREE: STADIUM
The final room saw the Rebels come in first, with a stronger bomb. SWAT quickly made a plus, which wasn’t super straight but showed off more than the RPFs circle. Our tactics were bigger, ultimately making us look bigger overall. We then switched and created two lines, and were able to use this to send some creative tactics. The Rebels used the opportunity to create a T, which made them more visible compared to us. RPF then made the rookie mistake to create 3 lines, removing their advantage of visibility on the top. Some people were AFK, so the form looked a bit sloppy. SWAT then moved into a U form, again a risky move, but we pulled it off pretty well. Overall I think this room goes to SWAT, even though RPF had a bigger size. Nevertheless, this was all in good fun and a great practice battle.
