Introducing Me: An Introduction To Greeny

Recently, Greeny joined the ranks of SWAT and even more recently, we saw his ascendency to leader. With this in mind I thought that now may be a good time to introduce Greeny! Let’s find out more about Greeny together!

Despite Greeny only joining us recently and getting leader today, SWAT isn’t Greeny’s first army, not by a long shot. Greeny joined Club Penguins armies in 2013, nearly 10 years ago now. He was first in the Barbarian Empire army in 2013. Later in the year, he went and created his own legacy. This legacy is still present in the present community, the Lime Green Army. (What a great name for Greeny’s army)

A Barbarian Empire event (2013)

Greeny’s army went from being a small, new army create by a newcomer to the community to a well known name in the community, defeating many armies that were in its way. While they aren’t considered as a major army, historically, Greeny and others made sure that this medium army could hold its own. They even held their own against the likes of EGCP.

Greeny is now a SM legend from his time in LGA and is in SWAT with time left to fight and is passionate about his run in last run in SWAT. Since joining, Greeny hasn’t looked back and is trying to do everything he can to make sure that his run in swat is a successful one!

I interviewed Greeny to find out more about him and his plans

Who is Greeny aka Trevor?

Someone who enjoys having a good time. I’ve been around this community for almost 10 years both for the nostalgia and entertainment. I also feel I’m a rather experienced leader and strategist now.

What have you done in the army community, besides joining SWAT and what convinced you to join?

I’ve done a ton in the community. From creating LGA in 2013 to leading SWAT in 2022. So much has happened in between, luckily I’m the type of person who takes time off of armies otherwise I don’t think I’d still be here. Up until 2016, I was specifically in the S/M community other than 3ic which was the highest rank I achieved in a major army (Black Rebels), but they shut down shortly after. I spent most my major time prior to 2016 as an Army Republic 4ic. In 2016-2017 though, LGA gained massive land on the map and merged into RPF. This would only last a week, as I was a bit of a troll back then and ended up defacing some small army that was talking a lot of smack to LGA previously. This got me coup’d be Elm. After that I lead UMA for a week with the likes of Trader and Memmaw, we managed first on CPAC, but the generation was later deemed invalid. I was in Doritos as a 2ic and eventual leader when we won the Christmas Chaos in 2016. To close 2017 we got Takis (Memmaw’s creation) to 3rd on CPAC after LGA placed 5th two weeks in a row prior to the merge. I returned in 2019 after Flen’s reunion email, noticed there was no CPR league only a CPO one (and we all know the stigma around CPO), so Memmaw and I started it. We would later bring DMT and Super on the team which they seem to have gotten most the credit but all the funding came from Memmaw and I. I brought back LGA then, again in 2020, both generations very successful. I returned this year looking for something to do, moved around a bit until I brought back LGA. That got me motivated for a few months, but then I decided I needed a change of pace. SWAT’s growth was apparent, and I wanted to contribute to that as our armies were brother allies at the time. I’m also considered an S/M legend

You must have made a lot of fond memories? Any highlights you’d like to share with us?

Honestly I find wars probably the most fun. Back in my S/M days, I was in a different war almost every week because Club Penguin Armies were so alive. At the same time, the community and culture of certain armies that I was apart of played a huge part in me coming back to the community as many times as I have. Also the free entertainment, lol

Outside of CPA, do you have any hobbies or things that you partake in?

Yea of course. I don’t plan to be here once I turn 21 (in America that’s when we get all our rights). Right now I work 6 hours most mornings and take care of my dad who’s a brital diabetic. I also love socializing with friends and family, and getting out of the house in general. Club Penguin Armies just tend to be my escape, as I’m sure it is for many others

Are you a dog or cat person? Do you have any pets of your own?

That’s a hard question. I love both animals, have had numerous of both animals. I would say dogs are way better companions, though. So I’d give them the edge on this one.

What’s the motivation behind the names Greeny/Trevor?

Trevor’s the name on my birth certificate. Green was my favorite color when I made my Club Penguin account. Nothing too interesting lol

You’re now a SWAT leader, what were your thoughts when becoming leader and what are your goals?

I was very glad. When I became LIT I wasn’t sure what all the expectations would be for me becoming leader. We all communicated perfectly, and I feel my transition went very smoothly. My goals are to help with tournament and wars as well as sizes and strategy.

What do you have to say to all the people reading this and all the troop aiming high in SWAT?

It’s all about hard work and teamwork. Everybody starts somewhere, the biggest thing is having fun. There is no better army to be in right now than SWAT 💯And keep a good attitude! Everybody likes positive vibes.

Thank you Greeny for the interview and congrats on your promotion!

Greeny is an interesting person for sure. His army experience may prove useful for SWAT and for himself. Let’s hope Greeny can make the impact on SWAT that he is wanting to, we all can learn from each others’ experience so make sure you ask for any advice if you need any while these experienced heads are around! The future is bright, just like Greeny’s favourite colour, let’s make this the best year of SWAT to date!

SWAT FOREVER
